WorldCast CONNECT announces the release of Kybio 4.7 for advanced monitoring and control

Showcasing at IBC 2022

Bordeaux, France. July 2022 - WorldCast CONNECT announces software release 4.7 of Kybio, its unified, vendor-agnostic NMS for media and broadcast. This major release, to showcase at the IBC Show, provides a host of new features to simplify day-to-day monitoring and improve user experience and workflow efficiency.

Enhanced monitoring for hierarchical, multi-layered networks

A new umbrella feature is now available for multi-layered infrastructures. This provides large and complex TV and radio networks with a ‘master’ solution to oversee all their local sites across a single view from their NOC. Each local station or studio has a fully operational Kybio to monitor and manage its own operations while the master Kybio functions as an umbrella system to oversee the current state of the channel - across the entire network. Users can also take site-by-site action when needed. “This new umbrella system makes monitoring much simpler for large networks who need high-level as well as dive-in views of their sites. With the increased control and insights now available to them, they gain a relevant advantage in ensuring optimal operations at all times,” said Julien Libeau, Kybio Product Manager.

Visual and dynamic dashboards

Upon first deployment of Kybio, whether on-premise or SaaS, users land on a visual dashboard of their Kybio performing self-monitoring. This feature enables users to monitor their instance of Kybio to ensure the software is healthy and fulfilling its monitoring tasks. In line with this improvement in user experience, WorldCast CONNECT developed dynamic dashboard assets for new text, readings, and gauges to display all the information the most readable.

Time-saving functions that serve efficiency

Other improvements in version 4.7 include the possibility to embed an SVG inside a driver with autobinding when a device is scanned, and Twillio integration for SMS delivery over API. This enables Twillio SMS messaging directly from Kybio without the need for extra hardware.

“This release is yet another milestone our team has achieved in making Kybio a highly flexible, scalable, and user-friendly NMS for users in the media/broadcast world,” says Nicolas Boulay, Co-President of WorldCast.

Kybio is available as an on-premise or SaaS license solution, and thanks to a straightforward pricing policy for licenses, drivers, and associated services, Kybio users are in full control of their Total Cost of Ownership throughout the product’s lifetime.
